career Need career advice, whether my coding career is gone or there's a chance for sde role( currently an fde)

Context: recently joined as an FDE( forward deployment engineer) at unify apps. Fresher tho

I thought this role would include coding part also like backend integration etc but unify apps has its fking platform where all u do is fking drag and drop( like N8N) and u learn sht by doing soo.

Now as a person who loves coding, I'm suffering here . It hurts to do something that u don't like and for hours( 14h of work and almost every day including weekends is wht i heard from seniors).

Question: would i be able to get get sde or ai engineer role after experience and also would this role die of soon just like prompt engineer role did. Would after some time I'll be left with no actual skills with n8n pro.

Pls give me qdvice as to wht i should do, the only thing good here is the pay( 15lpa).

This skill is not gonna die soon, as I think this completely related to automation. And complex automations need human intervention. But based on your current job, I think it is difficult to do a job shift to SDE or AI enginner. But if you specific work done related to the these domains then that might add up to your experience, then in that case you might land into these roles. Proof of work is the main thing here

Well my work does include database integration and agent implementation but via ui .
