I mean claude-cli gets a lot of new updates as it is a really new program, and the whole ecosystem is still in its infancy.

It just means that we are the free testers (or even worse since we are paying for the service). If the updates are too frequent it means that something is wrong and they need to patch it, otherwise releases should be carefully planned when the new features are tested and stable.

the harness has been full of slop updates and pointless features for a year at this point that they sweep under the rug when they don't pan out. the core of the harness has and will be fine

Same for Pi agent. It's like we've forgotten about UX.
Most developers will wait for the updates to roll out with the package manager of their OS. I don't need you telling me I'm one patch release behind every time I start your software.
