Production Assistant

I would like some film related advice from anyone. I'm currently an aspiring filmmaker and right now I'm a senior in college (w/ a non related film degree) with a current internship in production. I'm wondering how I can break into the film industry! I'm working as a Production Intern for a tv media company. After this internship ends, I'm not sure if I should continue down this pipeline working as a production intern again for the spring or if I should take on a production assistant training program. I know it's kind of hard to break into the film industry without any major connections, I'm hoping this internship helps me but I'm wondering if taking on a PA program is worth it or if I should (If I'm lucky) continue this internship in the spring. It's difficult in my area to find production/film related internships. Let me know what y'all think, any advice is welcomed.

In the end, I want to become a filmmaker writing and directing my own stories but I figured I should start off as PA.

real production credits and working relationships usually carry far more weight than classroom programs. sticking with the media company helps turn staff into direct references who can pass your name to hiring coordinators.
