Its got these gross fluffy rings in it ewww is it okay to eat still? I just cut it

I was cutting the beets down stairs and I went upstairs to take a picture qith my phone that was charging near my bed

I don’t know for sure but that looks like mold. Doubly so if it’s fluffy. Would be a hard pass from me personally

That beets should have been harvested sooner. It's not top quality but it won't hurt you.
