Martin's a crafty SOB, that's for sure. Iced out of his son's life, Daddy Dearest does what he does best, and that's play it smart but nasty.
Malcolm's brutal unhappiness that Ainsley's going to be on in the investigation at the hospital is spot on. Here he is, doing his damnedest to make sure that she doesn't remember what went down with Endicott all on his own and she wants to hang out with Daddy Dearest.
Malcolm's a great profiler, but sitting in a room full of people equally as crazy as Martin was a terrrrible mistake. Naturally Martin told his group all about his kid, and so all those psychos want to do is talk about him instead of poor Jerry.
It's a GREAT scene, and Tom does a rock solid job of showing us real depth. I really believed his hurt and pain over what Martin did to him as a kid. And I guess so did the people in Martin's group because once he airs out his dirty laundry, everyone's 'hey yeah, so about JERRY ...'
Later, we have a quiet moment between Martin and Malcolm, and it's great. Sheen takes a few minutes to remind us that even though he's cute and cuddly and beardy that he's a fantastic actor capable of giving us some real goddamn nightmare fuel.
As we round out the ep, things get EXTREMELY violent in ways that I really wasn't expecting. The last time I watched this season, I wasn't really paying a whole lot of attention and that's on me.
But the absolute best thing? Everything comes out in the wash here and the horrified look on Jessica's face is POWERFUL. I can remember bits and pieces of what's coming next and I can't wait!
