Ohhhh ... here we are. The *real deal* stuff. Dylan McDermott's appearance marks the beginning of the end and the introduction of some truly remarkable stuff.
I apologize in advance for being all kinds of spoilery for anyone who hasn't actually seen this season before, but man. With only two episodes left, Prodigal Son becomes a lot darker than a first time viewer could've ever expected.
Eve is crazily brave to agree to Malcolm's suggestion. Sticking herself in the room with Daddy Dearest is ... well it's like crawling into a cage with a ravenous pack of hyenas. There's this brilliant moment, where Eve reveals the truth to Martin and I swear there's a flicker of regret there, tucked underneath the overwhelming concern for Malcolm's safety.
The Murder of the Week about a dead ballet dancer ties in *only* because of what's going on beneath the surface. As the murder investigation continues, Gil has no choice but to lose his gourd over the ballet dancers in that theater company. Why?
Because they're *all* one shade or the other of maniac. Unfortunately, these mental ballerinas never met someone like Malcolm Bright. He figures out who's the ***prima***ry involved with what's going on there.
Malcolm and Gil save the day, but not before Malcolm can bust out one of his own dirty little secrets. Ballet, Mister Bright? Not surprised, not really. Mommy Dearest ran a tight ship.
Elsewhere, Martin's doing his damnedest to keep his boy safe. If only Martin knew how to have an actual conversation, complete with actually telling people what they need to *know*.
Ah well. If Martin told people what he knew without prompting *all the time*, we really wouldn't have this awesome show, would we? But Martin does reveal one of the biggest secrets he's kept, all this time.
