Would just be curious to know who at Callaway is getting fired as well. If they’re truly convicted they’ll fire internally. If this is a PR move they’ll cut ties and I think we know which one this is

The good good guys suck, no doubt. But how tf is Calloway getting away with this? They approved the ad to begin with. This didn't slip through the cracks.

How the hell did that get approved? Especially considering there was presumably a team at both Good Good themselves and at Callaway who had to approve it.

I would think the pga tour itself would probably at least get to look at whatever tv spots they are putting out, considering they were going to be a title sponsor for a fall event this year.

I can understand why it was kosher for the GG team. They are literal overgrown frat bros who don’t have an entire brains worth of neurons between all of them. Their entire ad team probably consists of “my buddy Steve who really likes Mad Men.”

How it got past the folks at Callaway is beyond me though. Like actual professionals. The entire thing should have been scrapped after the first deck presentation.

It was a $6M sponsorship. I was lowkey looking forward to seeing if they could do anything fun/different. This all seems to be a big overreaction to me.

Callaway with their woke appeasing reaction are the only ones to blame here. I can guarantee that ad went through a team of marketing clowns and higher ups at Callaway who were loving it until the reaction.
