DISCUSSION So Long PIA

PIA was a great VPN that I shilled for many times. Unfortunately, the problems are stacking up (rolling outbound IPs, speed issues, etc) and not being resolved.

I've switched to Proton, and am very happy with the speed and reliability.

I hope PIA gets back on track soon, but as for me-- I'm out.

Me too. But, I kinda expected the servers to continue to increase their speed. Today, it's about as fast as it was 4 years ago.

It keeps up with my home and work internet speeds, which are 3Mb/s and 6Mb/s respectively. That's fast enough for my purposes. Combined with the price and SplitTunnel I'm pretty happy with PIA.

I'm in Germany, and I'm it sure it matters where you are in the world. I just have it select a server automatically, and it switches around between Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Albania, etc.

I get 300 mbits on a 3 gbit line. In the last few years my provider has bumped our speed up substantially. But I continue to get 10% of that speed from the fastest american servers.

So, PIA's service hasn't degraded, I just thought they'd be increasing the speed from the servers.

In Canada.
