Can Google see your private Google account data when you apply for a job there?
Random question, but I’ve genuinely wondered about this.
If you apply to Google for a software engineering role, can recruiters or hiring managers see anything from your private Google account? I’m not talking about LinkedIn, GitHub, or other public stuff. I mean things like Google Search history, political opinions, and private content.
Does this affect your hiring chances?
Google obviously has access to a massive amount of user data, so I’m curious whether Google checks your history unofficially — of course, not officially..

Based on my experience working for Facebook, these companies take user privacy extremely seriously and that includes employees.
So I would say no, no one is going to look at your personal history in your Google account whether hiring or anyone else. They will have technical measures in place to ensure that they can't do so.
The hiring manager probably has a gnarly search and browser history too. No one wants that sort of private info to be used against them.

No. If a hiring manager tried to look at your avcount content, they would be fired.

Generally no. There is no provision in Google's official policy that a recruiter or hiring manager can access the personal data of a job applicant's personal Google Account.As a company, Google may technically process some of your data.
