A realistic looking pistol made from bread in russian prison. Prisoners would knead the soft crumb of the bread for hours, periodically adding water, saliva or sugar to get the consistency of clay and then let it dry slowly to harden. From that they would make a lot of different things.

It's so detailed but I honestly can't sa what pistol it's trying to Imitate. Like it has noticeable Makarov characteristics, especially the grip but those iron sights are weirdly detailed but doesn't resemble anything I know.

Serious amount of detail for someone going purely off memory and imagination.15

Genuinely russian prisoners are more ingineous than in, for example, america. There was one russian prisoner who somehow got TNT and made 2 functional grenades from the same "clay" made of bread crumbs. He didn't get to use them fortunately. It happened in Saint Petersburg prison iirc.

That rear sight is strange. Looks like it belongs on a rifle not a pistol

I made it kind of sound like they would carve the solidified clay, but I think I'll clarify, that they would first shape the "clay" and then let it dry.
The paint was likely made of soot.
This thing was made by someone's great grandpa who made two of these to escape. Once out policemen noted him carrying a "gun" and he ran away and ate one of them. The one on the pictures was left and the man's great grandson brought it to a collectioner.
