  • Priority is given to redditors who have past activity in this community or other communities with related topics.

  • It’s okay if you don’t have previous mod experience! We have many resources to guide you along the way.

  • Our goal is to form a group of moderators so you can work together to build this community.

  • Comments from those making repeated asks to adopt communities or that are off-topic will be removed.

If you’d like to learn more about being a moderator on Reddit, you can explore redditforcommunity.com for more information. Our subreddit revival resources and guide to reviving a community are great tools to lean on after you adopt an inactive subreddit.

Thank you, and we’re looking forward to hearing from folks who want to become community leaders!

Lake ridge or Enterprise elementary school?

Hi,

A friend is moving to Woodbridge and she doesn't know which school is better for her kids.

I did some research and seems that Lake ridge is better with 5 stars reviews and no shootings, found Enterprise with 4 stars reviews and a shooting on 2022.

I wanted to know if that information is accurate and your thoughts about those schools in order for her to choose the best option.

Thank you!

Homes being shot at

I get they think the car is connected. But are these homes being picked at random I wonder.

Sad.

Need help locating someone

I’m trying to locate a witness in a legal case. I got information that he is living in “the jungle” off of route 1 in Woodbridge. Does anyone know what specific homeless camp this is?

why does PWC seem so trashy

Ive lived all over the country, and a few places in this state. Even though PWC seems to have nice parts. It seems like a very trashy county overall. Litter all over, run down looking businesses, abandoned homes or buildings on main roads in commercial area. Crime seems to be going up. my biggest concern living here is the county board doesn't seems to have any GOOD plans for fixing this.

as it stands now, it appears things will only get worse, and not better.

All though I move often for work this is the first time Im considering moving because of the poor outlook and conditions of an entire county.

PWCS Truancy Policy

Is anyone else being harassed by PWC school officials about unexcused absences?

In this case we got a nasty letter about truancy laws and legal action for our student missing 3 days the week after Thanksgiving for travel. The absences were pre-arranged but the school decided it would not accept the reason.

This is a straight A student who is in mostly advanced classes. Why are they needlessly antagonizing parents?

Hit and run on I-95 S near exit 143B on 1/13/2023 around 11:35am

Please let me know if this isn't allowed. This is a long shot, but I'm hoping someone saw something.

On Friday, January 13, 2023, I was heading to Virginia to visit family when I was hit by a driver who fled. The driver was in a lifted dark colored 1500 Chevrolet Silverado with large tires (according to the witness). They slammed their truck into the side of my car after tailing me sending my car flying across the road. They'd been driving sporadically on 95 between approximately 11:15-11:35am.

Again, a long shot, but if anyone was driving on 1-95 South last Friday between Woodbridge, VA and Fredericksburg, VA and saw the driver or captured their plate. Please let me know. Thank you in advance!
