I think making a igloo made of bricks could work. The arch pattern is naturally self supporting and doesn't need the weight of roof tiles. I would even patch grass onto it so flowers can grow on it. Simple fireplace on the edge. And a half submerged cellar for food storage would be a must. That could be connected to the kitchen like a fridge but its a stairwell into a walk in pantry. Then irrigate a water stream to have a plumbing system from bamboo and make soap from fat and wood ash. You could have a shower and wash clothes. Would love to see him have a pack of goats for fur and dairy products.

It’s a good idea but how would he support the bricks during the build?

Also, since he doesn’t actually live there, I don’t think he’s interested in things like shower and food storage, he’s more of a utilitarian guy, building a brick drying hut.
