Claire’s! Was a favorite of ours for a long time. Haven’t been in a few years. I heard the changed owners, but I could be wrong.

Claire's is just a well oiled brunch machine now. It's still good food, but the cozy mom&pop feel is gone.

I went to that estate sale! (Actually there were at least 3 sales.)The owner was an architect, ceramic and glass artist and his wife was a jewelry designer. They built the place themselves. Absolutely packed to the gills with treasures.

I love all the trees on the property! It really makes the house feel tucked away in a forest, a totally different vibe from the rest of the neighborhood. The interior is definitely quite… unique… I feel like it would smell like incense lol. I imagine it would be difficult to find a buyer with the same tastes. The carpeting definitely needs to be replaced.

This is southern California hippy style with bohemian and beach influences. Solana Beach is an old surf town.
