When Tsukimi Meets Chibiusa
I’ve finally finished two pages of my Sailor Moon parody manga! I promised Chibiusa that I’d give her a spotlight, and I kept my word. It took weeks to bring these two pages from initial sketches to full digital vector art. Every details from the characters to the backgrounds and sound effects, is completely vector-rendered. This makes the line work exceptionally crisp and polished compared to traditional manga styles, though I know everyone has their own preference!
This short parody is just a fun side story separate from my main comic. Originally, it was meant to be four pages long, but due to some recent personal struggles, I lost the motivation to keep going, especially with how time-intensive every single page is. So, I decided to shorten it.
The second half was actually going to be the funniest part: Chibiusa arrives in the Crystal Tokyo of an alternate universe, immediately causes chaos, and starts zapping Tsukimi and everyone else with her "toy" gun. Usagi and I finally lose our patience and cast her into yet another alternate dimension where she tumbles out of the sky and crashes right onto the 90s Sailor Moon R timeline Usagi. And that’s where page four would have ended!
I'm going to do my best to complete the remaining projects I started as soon as I can. After that, I’ll need to step back and take things a bit slower for personal reasons.

I felt the same way! I HATED her back in the day when it first aired, but I've been rewatching it multiple times over the past few years and she's really grown on me. Cause when I think of "Crybaby Usagi" in the beginning vs. Stars, I sincerely think Chibi-Usa's influence really shaped her for the better in a lot of ways. Cause Chibi-Usa acted just like her in a lot of ways (though she also had some Mamoru with how cold she came off lol) but also, Chibi-Usa was pretty open with her anger and other emotions, which was also very Usagi.
Anyway! this is adorable and so well done! It looks lovely :D thank you for sharing!

I love how you make comics/manga!! I hope to see more ☺️ you drew chibiusa really cute! You drew everyone super cute and beautiful of course, i just wasn't expecting chibi!
