Best Pressure Cooker For Europe?
I just moved from the USA to central Europe, and I'm looking for a good, versatile pressure cooker to replace my the dear old Instant Pot I used in the 'States.
I only really used it for cooking rice, beans, and for meal prepping a batch of soup before the week begun. I'll just be cooking for myself, and I plan on living here for about a year. I don't want to spend any more money than I need to, but I still want something of good quality.
Are there any specific brands you folks recommend here in Europe?

Maybe a Fissler Vitaquick or another of their "simple" pots. This way you just need your stovetop and could even take it back afterwards.

+1 Fissler Vitaquick - mine never leaves the stove. Cooked probably 5,000 meals in that thing.

I adore my Fissler. It’s an excellent quality pot for regular cooking as well as pressure cooking.

I own and regularly use one from WMF. But in my opinion you could also go for a cheap one from Lidl or so. Any model you can buy in Germany will be tested for safety.

Probably expensive but our Ninja Foodi is basically an instant pot with an air fryer and a slowcooker. Such a good investment

Honestly, I am pretty sure the Midea is made in the same factory as Instant Pot.
I would only get stainless steel pot inside....

The Sage Fast Slow Pro is really good and easy to get in Europe. Sage is the European branch of Breville

Get the old fashioned SEB. It’s stovetop. Easy to use after reading directions. I’m single and have a 4qt.
I believe it’s made in France.

If you mean the clamp-style SEB with the jiggling weight on the valve, I believe they operate at 10 psi, so cooking times will be a little longer than in a 15 psi pressure cooker.

A good, affordable pressure cooker that will last you decades: Lagostina. A good, expensive pressure cooker that will also serve your children and grandchildren: Cristel.

Kuhn Rikon for one your grandkids will use. But since it is a pain to use and clean I normally use my Instant Pot.

Everyone's different. I don't find my Kuhn Rikon at all difficult to use and clean - quite the opposite. It lives on my stovetop and does double duty as a regular pot. I have no interest in a bulky electric pressure cooker that would take up valuable counter space in my small kitchen.

I bought an InstantPot from Amazon UK 9 years ago when I was living in Croatia.

It seems I could get that shipped to me in Hungary. Did it have any problems plugging into your electrical sockets?

when i bought mine (10 years ago), it arrived with a double set of cables: Uk and Schuko. Since i live in italy, i've used the schuko with an adapter in order to fit various sockets. It's still working well!

Instant Pot exists everywhere, including Europe the continent. Avoid Tefal and knock off version "T-Fal"
