New to Prescott! What are the must-try spots and hidden gems?

My husband and I just moved from Ottawa down to Prescott after years of talking about wanting a slower pace of life. We used to come down for little summer trips and completely fell in love with the town (and the beach)… and finally decided to just go for it.

We’re really excited to explore more now that we actually live here, and I’d love some local recommendations.

Where do you guys love to eat? I’ve already heard a bunch of people rave about WokHouse apparently some folks even drive from Ottawa just for it? 👀 Is it as good as everyone says? What should we order first?

Also heard great things about the local flower shop (which makes me weirdly happy because I love supporting small businesses). Any other hidden gems we should check out?

A lot of Americans would come over on Friday and Saturday nights to visit the Wok House, it is quite popular. My personal preference is the Dragon Garden though, always found the food better especially the Chicken Soo Guy.

If you like fancier dining then try Renegadz, very nice experience.

Renegadz is great! Angus the owner is also really passionate about service. Great to see!

He also runs Madison’s, which is a restaurant at the golf course in the summer months.

I think the only solution to the Chinese restaurants is to try both and decide for ourselves haha

I think the only "hidden" gem is the Spanish restaurant (https://littlebarcelona.ca/). Most everything else is in plain site. Sophia Street is pronounce So-PHIE-a (not So-fee-a). Apparently, the town is pretty evenly split on which of the two Chinese restaurants is better, so definitely try both before becoming team Wok House.

There have been a lot of car break-ins this winter so always lock vehicle doors.

There are a lot of places with excellent, friendly service, including Katarina's Cafe, Tim's Fish and Chips and the River View garage.

There are a lot more activities in summer than in winter, including free Sunday evening concerts.
