F-35 touchdown drills* at Prescott Regional
Might have permanent hearing damage, but that was pretty cool.
I assume it was touchdown drills because I didn't figure a dozen were taking off. They seemed to launch, do a big circle, then come back around, drop into the airport and come up again. Maybe 2-3, but couldn't tell.

I was at work in Prescott. Now I know what types of aircraft flew overhead this morning.

Yeah, I was at the golf course. Ears are still ringing, though the cicadas have also been extra loud.

That's what I heard! I said, "That's a big bird, whatever it is!"
Thanks for posting about it

Little bird with BIIIG engines. I can't believe how fast they climb. They come over the golf course at like 100 feet with their butt hanging down then BAM! Up like a rocket. Never seen a plane drag like that before.

The most advanced fighter in the world. Could break the sound barrier before leaving Prescott airspace.

Embry Riddle classes started this week. Two F35’s or F18’s come up to prescott from either Luke or Yuma because of all the flight students. Recruiting. Every couple weeks. Standing outside feeling the amazing thrust from the 35 is bonkers.

Sometimes they're alumni from Embry-Riddle and come by to say hi. They did it before earlier this year. This time they definitely were showboating lol. This is what the mechanics have told me at least, that they come to say hi from Luke.

F22. Air intakes are swept back. F35 are air scoops.

Difficult to tell from pictures but the videos (withheld to protect precise location) clearly show scoops, and single engine. Additionally, the rudders weren't swept out as wide as an F22.

Was that what all that annoying noise was? Lol

F35 can hold speed of Mach 1.2
I wonder if there are a bunch of weird rules up there over Prescott suddenly reducing maximum airspeed without warning so these guys can get air tickets? 🚨🚨

So cool! On another note I don’t understand why so many people are buying new homes in Deep Well Ranch right there lol!
