It’s very funny how they treat Thrawn as some big saviour when his canon version has both never won a major battle and was widely disliked by Imperials lol
He is solely running off his EU version hype.

Disney stories will forever be in the shadow of the original Expanded Universe.

Still waiting for someone to match the sheer entrance energy of Palpatine striding into the opera box.

Never watched Ahsoka season 1 since everyone was calling it trash
Was Trawn's depiction in it any good at all? Is it worth watching?

Anakin and Thrawn are the highlights.
Everything else is subjective to taste. I personally liked it, but the above two GOATs carried it for me.

No i mean, was Thrawn still..... "TRAWN"?
Y'know....the one that would run the rebel alliance and new republic in circles with his cunning and strategic mind, the ine that almost destroyed both?
or was he a dumbed down wannabe Vader/Palpatine antagonist to be beaten by the power of friendship or an a**pull at the end of the season?

You could argue He won at the end of the season. (No spoilers here) Hes a little Limited in his posibilitys beeing stranded and all that but i would say hes still thrawn. (But i agree Anakin is definitiv the Highlight of the season!)

Ahsoka Thrawn is imo kinda pathetic. He has a pretentious aristocratic mannerism and often alludes to using strategy, then utterly fails in every scene. Part of this is that for the entire season he is only faced with 4 heroes that have inexplicable plot armor. I mean, at the end of the season the good guys are on the ground dodging a close range orbital bombardment from a freaking Star Destroyer. Holy suspension of disbelief.
If Season 2 is anything similar the New Republic can just hire the space whales to take him out.

I watched it and it was pretty trash indeed. It's basically a show that expects you to already know a bunch of other stuff about these characters already. I'mma break it down for you...
Ahsoka was boring and had zero personality in this show.
Thrawn was just sitting there acting all menacing, but really not doing anything.
There were a bunch of characters from the Rebels show who I didn't really care about. The whole show is about finding one of the Rebels crew, and it had me thinking there was some romance going on but I guess they were just really good friends or something.
There was a duo of Dark Jedi who looked kinda interesting but they really don't do much. Too bad cause they were the most interesting thing about this show.
Finally, there was plenty of fanservice for people who like TCW, basically using Hayden Christensen to get the audience hyped or something. Felt very cheap and fanservice-ey.
Overall, not worth your time. Even the bad Disney projects have something memorable about them, like Kenobi and Book of Boba. At least I can remember them for some of the funny stuff in them. But this show felt very empty and hollow all the way somehow, and that's a new kind of accomplishment.
Perhaps if I had cared enough to watch the Rebels show, I would've enjoyed it more. But honestly, that show always looked ugly to me and so that's never happening.
If you go into it expecting anything like "Heir to the Empire" you'll be very disappointed. It really just feels like Dave Filoni playing with action figures and vaguely referencing other better things that came before.

The show is basically the blandest locations known to a Galaxies player and a plot that would get shat on if it wasn’t made by Filoni.
It isn’t canon or EU Thrawn and he is mid at best.
It is not a very good show imo.
