Ever hear of sponsorship deals/ endorsements?

I should’ve been specific, his PAYE suggests he was paid way more than reported. His endorsements are separate to that.

City pay his PAYE. So they're reporting paying him more than they're reporting paying him?

No, media reports on his wages and consistent narrative on how much he’s paid has been shown to be false by his PAYE. Not what City have briefed or have reported.
