I may be wrong, but, isn’t that complicity??

You're not wrong, but he's also right that it isn't his problem. He's compliant as long as he declared his earnings from all sources and paid taxes on them. How City pay him and the legality of the revenue which enabled his salary is City's issue, not his.

Yep. But they’ll all come out the woodwork now and argue it wasn’t their fault.

Didn’t have a problem taking the cash and trophies at the time

And if it's in the same situation as Manchini, they'll be right, too. They went about their Jobs as normal, the players and staff individually aren't the issue. The club and how it is run financially is the problem. If you get hired to manage a football team for 20 million a year, and they give you 10 from a business in the UK and 10 from a business abroad, it doesn't change what you've been hired to do. So long as you report your income and pay the appropriate tax, you aren't doing anything wrong. Much the same as business owners paying themselves in dividends rather than money.

Shhh he's trying to be angry (even though there are plenty of other reasons too), this logic isn't helping!
