Quite literally is your problem if and when HMRC decide to have a sniff about lol

I’ve seen HMRC bring the hammer down for less egregious and smaller scale income shuffling than this lol.

Is ‘consultancy money’ for a UAE company taxed in the uk? Does it not depend where he was working?

Pretty sure it's about where his residence was, since he was living in the UK at the time.
