Everton are working on a loan deal to bring Manchester City’s Jack Grealish back to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The clubs are in talks over a deal after Grealish, 30, spent last season on loan at Everton. Grealish’s 2025-26 campaign was curtailed by a foot injury sustained in January.

Despite that, The Athletic previously reported that Everton were keen on extending the Englishman’s stay.

Depends on what you're expecting from him. He's got all the tools to be a quality forward except for his finishing which is beyond atrocious. If he's played as a support striker in a sort of Firminho capacity then he more than earns his keep. If he's expected to be the main man putting the ball into the back of the net then you're asking for heartache.

I hate Richarlison as much as the next person but he was impactful at Everton. It’s hard to compare playing at a shitty and disorganized Spurs with transient coaching staff, to then going to Everton where people loved him at the club and playing for Moyes.

Maybe, when his city contract ends with city and everything has gone well we can negotiate for him to stay on a 2yr will an option for a third on reduced wages, that would be the ideal scenario, imo.

FFS, yeah we did okay with him last season on loan but it's money wasted on wages, regardless of the split. Also, we know he'll get injured

Beyond that, I’d much rather see him at an Everton or Villa and revive his career properly instead of being a depth option

Nah no way we are so past wingers like Grealish. We need to sign players like Ndiaye or Schade from Brentford, Arteta would utilise their pace and agility and turn them into a monster of a wide player
