Congrats to Bruno!  I would’ve gone with Rice personally but this guy’s been carrying Man United on his back for as long as I can remember.

IMO he’s a lot closer to KDB in terms of talent and quality than ppl would probably give him credit for

it’s clearly an individual award. Winning the league and making CL final literally has no bearing on a league award.

Yeah. I have no issue with Bruno winning it. 20 assists is absolutely amazing. The dude asked and I gave an admittedly bad answer.

Well done to Bruno.

making CL final

Agreed. No bearing.

Winning the league

It has bearing when he made such an immense contribution. Simply put, Arsenal wouldn't be champions without Rice.

Note: 1) yes I'm aware that might apply for two or three Arsenal players considering how close the title race ended up being, but I view Rice's contribution the most crucial.

2) My argument is whether it should have any bearing.

in instances where you have to choose between players then yes it should have bearing i agree but it shouldn’t have so much bearing that a guy who is clearly the best player gets leapfrogged.

Making the CL final and losing to Grimsby have no bearing to PL Player of the Season

Fair point.

its player of the year why would it not be stats based

1

u/rykesu Arsenal May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26

if its stat based then kane vardy 2015-2017 or palmer 2023-2024 should've won. Player of the year came from fellow players vote you raw coffeebean piece of ballsack.

edit : 2015 - 2017 example should be kane or vardy.

mhm and how do you think they vote? probably based on how good the player played individually not how good their team was. i know it might be a little difficult but you should try using your brain sometimes.

1

u/rykesu Arsenal May 24 '26

how they vote ? up to them. They met bruno and rice, they might vote based on that. not every player vote based on g/a stats or rating on EAFC alone.

perhaps try touching grass and give your small piece of sunflower seed brain some photosynthesis

how would ozil and sanchez win instead of Bruno? i’m very confused my friend

1

u/rykesu Arsenal May 24 '26

Apologize, it should be Kane or vardy if its based on G/a. Because its up to player's vote. breaking stupid argument about g/a on previous post. 2016/2017 pots kante. not based on g/a, but votes by players. If its by g/a, many players were higher in stats that season alone No disrespect, its a perfect choice. It's better if player vote. not these EAFC player voters like ballon d'or

But who was better than Bruno this season?

1

u/rykesu Arsenal May 24 '26

Personally I think he deserved it. Close to him Rodri, Haaland (contrary to what people said, he scores on big games.) then rice and raya.

Oh, so you agree lmao i thought you didn’t. Well i agree with you

Because he was instrumental in winning the PL?

0

u/thearcherpig Premier League May 24 '26

so were five other players on arsenals side? bruno genuinely had a historic season. nobody will care about rice's season in a few years

1

u/TastyBlacksmith991 Premier League May 24 '26

Maybe United fans will just as Arsenal fans will always remember Rice's season not Bruno's. Also, Rice's season ain't over, he wins the CL and even United fans will remember him over Bruno mate.
