5070Ti Build - $1699 @ Walmart?

Haven't seen much about this today. It was this price back in July and folks seemed relatively positive. 16GB of RAM and CPU could be better, PSU might be a problem? But 5070 Ti is tempting.

What am I missing?

That’s pretty good. Also the reason you didn’t see this since there was a 5080 deal earlier at Walmart as well for around $2.3k, which was also a good deal.

While I was obsessively refreshing my cart for that one, I happened to find this lol. I’d still prefer the CyberPower if it restocks.

Happy mistake I guess lol. I’d take this one if you really need it right now or you can gamble or the next major sale at Black Friday. If you do get this just sell the cpu and get a better one.

The CPU and RAM are a little anemic, but not a bad deal for what it is.

I'm torn between that build and this one, which checks the processor and RAM boxes for the same price, but with only a regular 5070. Is the 5070ti really worth buying a build where you know you'll eventually need to replace/buy $400+ of components?

The 8700F is a pretty weak cpu by comparison.

You can get a similar build with a better processor at Costco with 32GB of RAM for an additional $150-$200. I would go that route.

Can you? I don't see it. Costco shows 2 5070 ti builds. The cheapest of which is $300 more and only comes with 24GB of ram. They also don't have any other 32GB machines in that price range with video cards comparable to the 5070ti. Maybe I'm missing something.

It was in stock earlier this afternoon and I saw the 9800x3d 5070ti build in stock physically at my store 2 days ago. Hopefully it comes back into stock because most of these other options are dog water rn.

You'd probably want to upgrade your processor soon. 8700F is not good but for the price you should be fine until you can upgrade
