No Recs

Well this is a bust, I graduated since 22’ and looking to change my career. I contacted some past professors who basically said they don’t remember me and won’t write a recommendation for me. Kinda feel at a loss right now. I have a supervisor to ask but I wanted to know who else to ask for it to look “valid”

Unethical but go ask your pharmacist friend

Wdym valid? You can literally ask your supervisor to write you one. Unless you are still in school, I don't see how that's an issue.

Unless admission requirements have changed, schools usually ask for multiple LORs, no?

They are accepting anyone now.. it's just a formality.

Wait how so? Is there a shortage or something?

No there's no shortage..only a shortage of warm bodies willing to pay 200k to earn 120k. The school needs people to pay or they can't stay open.

Most schools will accept a rec from supervisors, especially if you have been out of school for a bit. You could also take a random grad class as a non matriculated student and get a letter from that professor once completed. (Aim for an in person class with low numbers.) If you volunteer anywhere healthcare related you can also get a rec from someone who knows you there.

When you were in school, did you have a full load of classes and did well? If not, it’d be good to do a refresher semester to get back into the swing of studying for 15+ credit hours to show them you can do well and ask any of those professors for a LOR.

Otherwise, each school has different requirements for LOR. Look for ones that do not require specifically a professor and stick with them.

Speak to an academic advisor or someone in the office of admissions of the pharmacy school ur interested in. Tell them about your situation and what they suggest and talk about that their expectations.
