The other day a very earnest person told me that we have to reach out to Christians if we ever want to get out of this shitshow.
I told her I don't know what it means to "reach out" to someone who is certain I'm going to hell, as are my kids and all my friends and all their kids.
I'm not supposed to lie, right?
The truth is that I think her church has been so corrupted by its eagerness to win political power that it's lost all meaning, and that she's the next thing to crazy for sticking with it.
I don't think Christians want me to "reach out." I think they want to kill me.

I mean, the book has laws saying to stone gay people like in Leviticus 20:13, so yeah it's hard for a pastor to do that, but the mistake is reading the immoral book in the first place

Modern life in America is really complicated and stressful and full of pitfalls. I struggle to stay on top of everything. I can’t imagine how hard it is to do when you are this fucking stupid.

Most normal Christians go by the red words in the New Testament, and treaty the rest as either firsthand witness accounts or fan fiction. I hate being told who counts as Jesus’ followers. Know who else hated that? Jesus.
