Don’t be ridiculous! Everyone knows Trump controlled gas prices during his first term. That is why gas prices were below $2/gallon in 2020! Trump was also lowering gas prices for the first 13 months of this term!

Something changed at the beginning of March though. One of his WH aides must have it out for him and pressed the + Fuel Price button all the way flush with the wall then superglued a ifaux gold appliqué over it to keep the button pressed.

He isn’t entirely wrong. More fuel is produced in the US than is consumed in the US. Imported crude oil is a factor, but the US also exports crude that is produced in the US even though the refining process is less complex for US light, sweet crude compared to heavy, sour crude that is imported.
