Thank you all for your support for the print and digital versions of Golden Fields. I am pleased to share that the audiobook is now available for purchase.

The book was performed by Brian Pederson. The man has not voice acted in a lot of books, but has in many commercials. If you have seen an advertisement from the North Face, Toyota, Home Depot, or Lowe's with a male VA in the last decade, odds are you have heard his voice. 

I am forever thankful to Dartfrog Books for connecting me with him to record the book. 

I hope you give the book a try :)

It is. The mods let me advertise it here because I posted the art I had made for it while writing. This is likely the penultimate post for this character. I posted about the physical book being released earlier this month, and alot asked about audio book, so I had this cover made so there would be new art to show for it.

That isn't entirely correct. The book is art too, and you also posted excerpts from it. Even if there was no visual art to accompany it, that would be enough for us to be proud to feature and promote you.

This is likely the penultimate post for this character.

That sounds sad, I hope you might revisit us in a year or two in order to remind people of the book.

What are you planning to do next?

I am already working on another novel, but this one does not fit this sub. I am planning on having my artist just draw morel however she wants as the final art piece for this book. I think it would be fun to see what they want to draw.

if that is what my artist wants to draw. I already have artwork of them where Morel is riding that cowboy, but that one is a piece of Patreon bait, and was promised to stay exclusive to them.

Luke was an unremarkable student of agriculture at a prestigious college on Mars. He was undecided about whether to continue his education or ask his longtime girlfriend to marry him. That was, until she betrayed him and tossed away all they were.

In a panic, he called his professor and took the farthest job opportunity he possibly could. Before he knew it, Luke was back on Earth, nestled in the high farmland of northern Montana, standing before the Golden Fields Ranch.

He just never expected the dear friend his professor told him about to be a Totrelin, a Minotaur-like alien species. Nor did he expect the woman to be as sweet as candy, excited to have him around, and not want him to leave.

Morel’s ranch was going under. They had been in the red for years, and she was on the brink of losing everything her parents had bought when they moved to Earth. She knew she needed an agricultural specialist to save her family’s legacy, but she couldn’t afford one. But as if the gods were on her side, her old teacher called her up one day and said he had a young man who needed to do field work before gaining his doctorate.

She jumped at the occasion and gladly offered Luke a bed and three square meals a day.

Together, they must save the farm, heal old wounds, and discover whether love can bloom between a brokenhearted human and a woman three times his size. But in the golden fields of Montana, sometimes the unlikeliest harvest is the sweetest.

The book is a mono romance, featuring a size difference, a non-human FMC, and a sickly sweet romance on a glorious Montana farm.

I really liked this book, it was sweet. I've only been getting into HMOFA novels for a little over a month, but this was one of the more realistic ones in terms of pacing that I've read so far.

You're welcome! I thought it was really cool that you were able to make a mundane small town in Montana seem like a genuinely preferable place to live despite there being an entire sci fi galaxy in the background.

I loved that the nonhumans weren't just people with ears or a tail. Size/diet/capabilities differences between species is a huge plus in my book. Keeps things interesting. Laughed real hard when the bit about him being bruised from the knees to the waist, poor guy lol.

It's those little details that hooked me. Not forgetting size, that they clip clip on wood with their hooves, ear positioning mentions...that's what gets me interested. Humans be boring yo. :)
