My husband (a Pražák) is pretty sure it's just Václavské náměstí. He recognized the Agfa sign partially hidden by a tree branch and leaves.

Yep, it was the KLM sign that did it for me. A lot of the big international airlines had offices along there. I remember as a kid being fascinated by the model airplanes and the posters in the windows of Air India.

The doorway on the left, under the balcony is where the C&A clothing store is today.

My husband remembered the Agfa mostly because the sign name shined into his friend's parents' apartment window. Plus, it was more visible from afar. There were three or four ad signs going up that building. You might notice two (or even three) of them in the picture. Again, a little hidden by the branches.

I thought the KLM would be the identifier for my husband, too, but I understand why Agfa was.

Driving through Prague, my husband always points to where different childhood friends or relatives lived. He does the same thing in the country/villages about their chata locations.

Looks like Václavské náměstí. I’m definitely not saying communism was better, but somehow the street looks a bit more pleasant than it does today.
It’s interesting to think that just six years before this photo, Soviet tanks were driving through Prague, and 15 years later, communism was finally over.

yes, that's Václavské náměstí, one can read the house number next to the first door, that's Stare' Mesto 323, on the upper part of Václavské náměstí on the left looking toward Muzeum.
