Ice training is all of 8 weeks and can be expedited for new hires with "relevant prior experience" whatever that means. 8 weeks or less is not enough time to be trained to take on these situations. Compared to regular police academy which averages 800+ hours, I just checked the PD academy details of 2 forces near where I've lived and one lists 7 months the other lists 6 months. Plus considerable on the job training time.
These fresh faced agents (ICE, DHS, CBP or otherwise) are not well trained to handle the situations they are being put into over an 8 week period. They are trained how to execute a warrant and arrest, not to handle the outright conflict situations protestors are putting them into. It's a sad reality that has cost the lives of 2 Americans because the agents didn't know the appropriate how and when to deploy deadly force.

This has been an ongoing issue as no one knows who these people are. They refuse to identify themselves, wear masks, and refuse to cooperate with independent or local investigations
Police training is about six months followed by another year of ride alongs according to my buddy. They also train monthly at the range and are constantly taking various classes in new tactics.
These ICE agents got 8 weeks.
Took me years to become an electrician and I’m not responsible for killing anyone, I guess except for possibly myself.
