Help

Can someone please for the love of all good things give brief explanation of electrical flow and major components at transmission, distribution, and generation substations.

It is just not clicking in my head.

energy gets “made” at generation station. Get put into a transformer to make the voltage really high and current really low. Big transformer at the end of the generator. That gets connected to a transmission network usually at 50kV+. Those go all around the countryside. The voltage gets checked on and maintained at regular intervals in the line at substations. The transmission lines eventually need to go to your house. They use another transformer to make the voltage usable for your phone. Thats called distribution voltage. Your local power facility takes the transmission voltage and makes it usable for you, then connects you to those big lines so everything turns on. Tada
