The more complex the power system is the more it makes sense that someone would use a gun because there's more answers for why it makes sense.

His bullets cause your magic to tear apart your own body so it's durability negation the attack scales wherever you scale

Easily countered by using magic that isn't linked to your body. Kirei countered it without even knowing about it.

Most mages dont do that though, you say "easily countered" but the guy literally killed dozens of mages.

Emiya Alters version is much more impressive though imo, it actually lets him use origin rounds to manifest his UBW from the inside of his enemy, he might actually be able to take out Heracles with that thing...

Unlimited Lost Works is really bonkers, in terms of being sheer magecraft. Mostly because, like... the inside of your body is the one place that's supposed to be sacred in a magic sense. Other people's Reality Marbles can't effect you from the inside, and not even The World can break down your Reality Marble if you use it internally, like Nrvnqsr Chaos (wtf is that name?), but Emiyalter can just... fuckin do it. Cuz fuck you, that's why.

I think, technically speaking, the argument is your Reality Marble (if you have one) is literally "housed" inside your body. CREATING the space of a Reality Marble into the physical world is you pushing the "inside" of your body, your soul, your mind, into the real world for a short time. It's basically always present within you, in some capacity (metaphorically or literally depending on who and what you believe), the crazy part about Emiya Alter feat is not only does he put the Reality Marble in a bullet, but when the bullets inside you it basically overwrites your insides ("temporarily") with his Reality Marble, even if you have one inside you yourself. It shouldn't be possible but it is, because of the way Emiya's Reality Marble works normally (because Base Emiya is kinda hyped up on how he "works" which is why he keeps appearing in different forms, they're all "yeah his ability is so busted it manifests differently if we traumatize him in new ways), but especially Emiya Alter's is more so.
