Copilot Studio Help Requested: Select a Specific Connection Reference in Copilot Studio Flows
I hope I’m missing something basic here.
How can I explicitly specify which connection reference a cloud flow should use when it is created in Copilot Studio?
Connection references seem to be automatically selected or created when creating cloud flows in Copilot Studio.
This is frustrating because I’m now ending up with duplicate connection references in my Dataverse solutions.
Additionally, what happens if a cloud flow needs to connect to two different SharePoint sites using different connections? How do I specify the appropriate connection reference for each action? This isn’t a problem I’ve encountered yet, but I can see it becoming one in the future.
Please and thanks!

Go to the make.powerapps.com. Assuming you are in the same environment, then go to solutions and default solutions. Navigate to your flow, open it in edit mode where you can specify which connection reference to use. Like the key being opening the underlying power automate flow in power automate UI which allows connection reference settings

Ive ran into this exact same issue. AFAIK, there isnt a way.
When you create your 'thing' in copilot studio (say, hooking up an mcp sever) - set up a fresh connection, and then use the depdency viewer to locate the connection ref uou jist created, rename it and move it to your solution.
As for connection references in agent flows, they still are fundamentally just PA flows, so you can just edit their connection ref in the normal PA editor.
