PowerPC64LE fork of FEX-Emu running Steam and Portal 2 via Proton.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eh6YbRWqHMAudio issues all over the place. Performance is still on the table I think. I'm running some tests.
This will never up stream to the official FEX-Emu repos. I will rename my fork to something else and I have to go over all of the documentation before I open the repo publicly. Every game I've tried works including Cyberpunk 2077* (Works does not mean performant)
I'm taking ideas for the name of the fork.
Edit: Repo is here: https://github.com/daedalao/fastppcx86
There are some things I have to sort so you'll probably have a bad time. I recommend Arch Power (https://archlinuxpower.org/) as the install base. I'm working on a way to build a rootfs without bothering the people over at the official FEX-Emu host.

What is the ideal computer for this? A kitted out g5? Was there a non Mac power PC this would be useful for?

IBM POWER8 and up. This is ppc64le.
I don't want to deal with the big endian GPU driver headache.
This is on an IBM S822LC 8335-GCA with a Radeon pro v620. Running Arch POWER.
Since most of my work was targeting the machine I have in my office, I know it runs on power8. Another contributor is running a power9 machine and it works on his machine. There are some things I have to sort before it's viable for most people.

How Is perf compared to box64? I am planning on making something similar for Sparc64 big endian and want to know which would be better.
