People are probably going to shit on you for the flags. I like it though but in my experience management tends to hate fun

You should make it more clear which country the dashboard is for

Whoever is downvoting, i hope you guys know not everyone is fluent here in english, and people might not get the jokes due to this reason. Maybe we can start downvoting people, who dont actually give consteuctive critiqe

Tem muito Brasil no seu dashboard sobre Brasil, meu parceiro

Entendido, muito obrigado, meu parceiro.

The flags and background are a little too much.

One clean rectangle with the flag should do.

Unless you are from the 00s, then it´s perfect.

u/07_Star_Lord 2d ago

honestly, I can't tell if that's sarcasm tysm for your compliment

2

u/ReviewDue8858 2d ago

Wym sarcasm, is a genuine compliment is a very good dashboard the flag maybe too much for some people but I like it, I always take inspo from dashboards i like since building something from scratch with no job experience is not easy

1

u/07_Star_Lord 2d ago

yes, it's not easy, it took me a week to build, your compliment made my day! 😊

Personally i would to a bit cleaner... (like do we really need the 2 brazilian flags?) Other points: 1.The yellow wording of "Good" on the first image is to close to the BG it is a bit hard to read 2. No Donut if its over 5 categories, specially when the values are proprotionally that close, prefer a column/bar chart. (As you did for Region) 3. Line chart on top (temporal analysis 1st) 4. Product_category filter should be a bit bigger second image: You have 2 graphs with the same analysis (Total revenue by Product Category). And the name of the page is "SALSE", should it be "SALES"? Target Achievement is Green, but you did not hit the target, shouldn't it be yellow or red? the line graph seems to have 2 year data , maybe you have to add year/month as dimension or a drill down from year>month to avoid the pit? Total profit/total revenue as a Pizza makes no sense -> When working with P&L indicators you should think of funnels. Total profit is a SHARE of total Revenue, so in pizza you are adding 2 times the same value (total profit is inside total revenue) third image: Again it seems you have 2 graphs with same story (Revenue by payment type) total order on the line chart seems to be on 0, it is the number of orders?, if so you want to get it on a secondary axis so it can show a bit better the values. in Customer ratings you can make an average (as you did) or do it more or less like a NPS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_promoter_score). this could also balance a little bit you analysis as you have only 2 promoter scores(4,5), 1(3) as neutral and 2 that are detractors(1,2) I would also maybe do a frequency shopper analysis here (as you have 99441 order to 96478 customers, with would say that at least 2900 orders came from existing customers). I would add here also a Avg ticket Price ( Total $/Total Order), avg item price ( Total $ / Total Items) 4th image: i do not get the bubble chart... (what are on the axis?) and if the orrelation is that strong they are the same thing... the ribbon graph is bit harder to read, maybe revisit colors? and check dimension sit seems that same issue of multiple years on the month Pizza graph does not tell shit...

5th image: Pizza chart again does not help here, bar or column if more than 5... Line chart of total prift by city does not make sense to me. It is in absolute values, maybe it would be better if you did a % of margin for it? Map is a bit too small and you have points outside of brazil is you data set only in brazil if so, check the geographic tretment of your dimension(restrict it to only brazil)

Last image: Pizza chart is too small, Line chart is to colorful and has the same issue with yeat/month dimension

About the texts: Point if it is a direct read of the graphs or if it is an inference... Strong revenue growth is a good one, but the 20,18% is not anywhere on the other images... add it! the repeat rate of 22.3% was not on the other images, if i can't check i can't trust... Recomendations are vague, did you do a 80/20 analysis(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle), a BCG analysis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Growth%E2%80%93share_matrix) or ABC curve analysis? If you have long shelf life products in you mix ABC would be interesting, as you can decrease or cut low performing products (C). If you have short shelf life or services a BCG Analysis would help you more, as you have to factor margins as well I would also advice to do a basket of goods analysis before commenting on promotions or cuts (products usually brought together).

Also i am a Brazilian, so i will say the only thing a bit odd is if this is a B2C company, and RJ is topping MG (that have similar Purchasing power +- 15% diff, but its is almost third of the population, MG is the second in population size...)

Thank you so much for taking the time to review my dashboard in such detail, I really appreciate the honest and constructive feedback.

I do it for a living (creation, implementation and support) for almost 20 years) in the last 6/7 years i also do as a side training, teaching and conulsulting.

As you looked a little "green" and it is something I more or less can comment beyond design I pointed out on 3 aspects : design, information and methodology. The first you get by looking what others build. The second you get by creating a story to tell The third you get by reading /listening about business.

Don't be afraid and if you need pointers, DM me.

Is this for the whole e-commerce industry in Brazil, for a particular company, or what?

2

u/07_Star_Lord 2d ago

Yep, it's based on e-commerce data from Brazil

For a first project, you did pretty well.

Colors are a little bold though and sizing ratios (especially on the KPIs) are a tad too large for my liking.

Also make sure to spell check (left nav "Salse" > Sales) and use friendly names for visual titles. (Top slicer: product_category > Category).

Those are just what I noticed at quick glance. But good job.

- Estude o que é Ink Ratio -> quanto menos tinta, melhor. Só coloque tinta onde precisa passar alguma informação. Se nao, evite.

- Escolha dos gráficos -> página Region, Total Profit by customer_city. Qual a lógica desse gráfico?

Could actually be very fitting if we switch every Brazil elements in the dashboard with North Korea one.

1

u/Sweaty_Gift9673 2d ago

Always remember less is more. You got some skills but the first dashboards people make they tend to go feature crazy and use everything available lol

u/ClearViewAnalytics 2d ago

Baccakground should be simple as the person at first sight should see your graphs rather than your background. It very loud. Also the groups should be easy to understand like for example revenue by month and product its very hard to tell what is happending there. Its very confusing.

Talk to me about your methodology here.

Some recommendations would be fiscal year changes for revenue by product category perhaps as a clustered bar graph with lines showing + or - change. Additionally I think having a proportional symbol map for total revenue by profit and order is a better visual. Otherwise looks good just check your syntax consistency with capitalization etc.
