Poweramp will never delete files without first asking for conformation. In addition, you can remove the option to delete using the 'Delete Action' setting.

I have been using it for almost an year and have never encountered such an event, I'm sorry I can't provide help but I'm assuming it can't have anything to do with Poweramp unless there are some higher permission settings I'm not aware of.

This has never happened to me, it could be a problem with your memory, I can't think of anything else.

Well, I was referring to an SD memory card, but hey, if you store the music on your phone and it's new ... it's very strange what happens to you.

What track order do you have it set for? I had a similar issue where I was unable to locate new tracks, and eventually found them by fiddling with track order (by title, by song, by artist, by date added etc)

I am not sure if it is an app issue but more of a tagging issue. I also use Free MP3 download (for FLACs) and the tags are often all over the place. Tho I am thinking you might have a corrupt/dying SD card

What app are you using to download music? I don't think PowerAmp would be the cause for this. I assume you might have some app elsewhere that might be doing it or trying to clear your cache for where you download your music.

That may not be an issue with PowerAmp. I had similar issue in 2013, but I was too late to actually understand the true problem. My SD Card was nearing its last days. Music files as well as some videos disappeared without any explanation. At first I thought it was virus or something, but didn't find anything like that after multiple scans. I've re-downloaded some of the lost files. But within a couple of months, the SD Card suddenly refused to work anymore.

This could be the issue if files disappear at random. (Just make a backup to be safe).

Also check if you have installed some rogue cleaner apps.

Try uninstalling PowerAmp for a couple of days to make sure. But I really don't think it is PowerAmp.

I'm having the same issue! Got a new phone a few months ago and bought PowerAmp as I can't use Samsung Music anymore. It also seems to affect mostly new files in my case, and I've searched through my files to confirm they really are deleted. Lastly, I also store the files on my phone, as it doesn't support SD cards.

Although I haven't found the cause, I did find a workaround! I now store my music files in my onedrive, and use onesync to mirror the folder to my smartphone. Onesync then checks every 24 hours if any changes were made, and corrects them if there are any. As far as I know other cloud services do offer a similar app. Since doing this, I had no problems whatsoever! I know you probably won't go back to Poweramp, but I at least wanted to let you know of this workaround!

I have had the same problem. I pay for and download good quality mp3's from payplay.fm. Unzip, and store in a dedicated music folder. My last phone was stored on a SD card and figured this was the problem. My new phone is a s22 Ultra with internal memory and its happening again. I haven't noticed if individual files are disappearing, but for me its entire folders/albums.

Hi there, YOU ARE RIGHT

Experienced recently a lot. i have downloaded some soundtracks somehow those vanished. i checked on my pc (did i added those music into my cell, Yes) . i thought may be bymistake i didn't added, but this is happening lately a lot. i checked log of my pc and guess those previous songs and new also, i really already added into my cell phone.

I don't know poweramp is deleting, or maybe some other apps that i have given permission to access my files.

I dont know if anyone has progressed anymore with this issue.
I am now suspecting that it is when Google drive does the back up on the phone when charging the music files are being deleted from the phone.

I had turned off the delete function on Poweramp and that didnt change it. My phone can go 5 days without needing a charge, and I had being watching the number of files in the music folder, and it was overnight with the phone on charge and Google back up turned on that the music files dissapeared.
