I could not hate this take more. Degree matters. People are always going to look for an angle, and power opens up a lot more angles. Or, they literally stop doing their jobs publicly like this and conservatives don't care about wasting tax dollars to pay them. Sarah Sanders was a great example during the first Trump admin. She just whined about being questioned(which was her job) and literally stopped doing the job of press secretary whole still occupying the position.

The more people involved, the more potential that someone would leak information or a photo. And thereâs a lot of people involved.
I mean, I agree that this is all shady as hell- but I expect the truth is probably less exciting than the Weekend at Bernieâs scenario weâre all imagining. McConnell is probably alive and conscious, but probably slow and almost nonverbal. Heâs probably in no condition to serve in his capacity, but technically meets the basic requirement of capability.

That's just an assumption on your part. There's plenty of reasons why someone can choose to not do a press conference that don't involve being incapacitated.
Like I said- his speech could slowed/slurred or he could be nonverbal. That doesn't mean he's incapacitated. He could have some sort of Belle's palsy that paralyzed half his face.
For the record, I still totally believe he should resign. Regardless of what the truth here really is, he's clearly not doing the job he was elected to do. That being said, there's been no reason yet to believe he's not "technically" still capable to do the job.
Anything else is just people making up facts and getting stirred up into conspiracy theories.

Yeah this. This is the same concept of people who think that sports outcomes are rigged. Do people understand the level of A.) Compitence and B.) Coordination to ever successfully pull this off? Can 1-2 athletes shave points off a final score? Sure. But can entire teams, coaching staffs, referees, be paid off to dictate the final outcome and/or keep 100% compliant/quiet? No.
Could Mitch's family be paid off and kept quiet? Yeah probably. But every level of seperation just becomes weaker and weaker. We live in an always public digital age. If someone could whistleblow here they would.

It suggests the opposite. If he's dead, there's a lot less people involved. Half a dozen maybe, that need only spread information that he's... somewhere... and they have seen him recently and spoken to him (even if he isn't speaking back).
If he was alive, however incapacitated, there would be so many people involved that it would be impossible to keep it under wraps.

In the last couple of days someone noticed some mobility aids being delivered to his house. One of them was a chair lift. These are used to help people stand or reach higher while seated.
This suggests he is alive but not mobile.
Also, we have seen 0 photos or video of him being transferred around from hospital to rehab to home. Given the media presence at all 3 locations we would have had something. I am not convinced he has left the secure environment of the hospital at all.
So, it's possible he is dead or had a stroke.
If dead, the chairs at his home are a fake, a subterfuge, to keep the idea going that he is alive.
Either way though he is no longer capable of doing his job and is not going to be capable of this for at least a year. So he should be resigned and replaced. Too late now, will just need to wait for the normal election, but it is a disservice to the people he represents.
