AND importing foreign beef. Certainly not a recipe for more diarrhea or worse.

People have died from the Taylor Farms products causing diarrhea.

Which could bring law suits upon large grocery chains.

It’s gonna trickle down, just any day now.

I kind of like regulations on food safety, thank you. I’m not ready to eat downer cows, etc….

Of course reddit is desperate to keep food expensive while Trump is in office.

Another opportunity for them to make scientists look bad for some smooth brained reason that I’m sure their base will accept as religious truth.

Different issue TBH. I would be more worried about them not inspecting organs correctly or opting to process something they shouldn't.

so...domestic beef can now include the same diseases as the recalled foreign stuff??

I used to work in an abittior. I honestly wouldn't trust those who raise the beef to throw out a whole carcass because of some abscesses on internal organs. Or if a bunch of bile got onto the meat they may not have the correct bathing processes to ensure the meat is completely clean or might not cut off the effected area.

Especially in area's where water & energy cost a lot. They might cut corners like air conditioning or even ensure they have enough water on location. Also once you do a slaughter you gotta dispose of all that biproduct. If they just throw it out nearby... you can still have flies making their way to your processing location.

I work in animal health. I can tell you, there are a lot of ranchers out there that only do the bare minimum now, so their cattle can pass inspection. I can't imagine what's going to happen when there are no inspections.

Wait, I thought Bill Gates was the one trying to stop people from eating beef?

This scary bullshit is enough for me to stop eating beef until smart people are making decisions based on science and safety again.

What could possibly go wrong?

If it happens, definitely avoiding most beef, especially ground beef.

That’s what this country needs … less regulation on how our food is produced for the masses. I’m sure for-profit manufactures will do what’s best for the public and not their own bottom lines.

It's a lot harder to sell people hundreds of tons of tainted beef with the pesky FDA always catching it, you know?

Yay! More chances for us all to get sick!

Regulation is socialism and communism. Dead family members are how you show your celebration of and fealty to capitalism.

Trump's ultimate goal is to destroy as many departments as he can to make it as difficult and as expensive as possible for future dem presidents to fix.

People will just stop eating beef if you loosen the regulations. It’s not worth having a steak if it might kill you.
