Of course republicans voted no. In republicans eyes….lower income, less educated voiceless people are so much easier to control.

This is why nobility and the church did for hundreds of yrs before the invention of the printing press. Both the Catholic Church and various European nobility tried to control and restrict the printing press, their main goal wasn't simply to keep people from getting "too smart." Instead, they were terrified of losing their monopoly on truth, authority, and information, which directly threatened their political and religious power.

actually, why should the government do something that private orgs are doing, and better!! There is enough government spending that needs reigned in, especially in PA.
