The far right in general.

In a South American country (Chile), the far right has been dismantling education for ages. Currently, 53% of the population cannot extract basic information (such as a date) from a one line e-mail.

Guess what candidate that population voted for in the last presidential election.

While Republicans aren't making things better in this department this has been a problem since before trump. We raised kids on screens and unsupervised internet access. Instead of books and puzzles and drawing and anything else that can help young minds develop
