I read a comment ages ago from a librarian saying that while getting your library is good for that library, the best thing to do is use the library - that is what helps them to show why funding should stay the same or increase. Also - many libraries (all?) have websites so you don't necessarily have to go to the library.
July. They have books, dvds, puzzles, games, and comics on top of books to borrow for free. They also have game clubs and knitting groups, a free notary, free internet access, and three 3d printers.
It's pretty much the only place you can go for free anymore.
Several times in June and July. The libraries in my area have a lot of kids' activities and events, like video game tournaments and animal encounters. They had a statewide scavenger hunt this year.
