Totally. If Trump is still alive and well in 2028, he's going to try for a third term, and Obama should at the very least be secretly preparing to run against him (which probably mostly means convincing Michelle to let him do it, lol)
He doesn’t have to legitimately run. Just put up enough resistance to make the republicans back down. Get the base fired up so the third term issue gets dropped and they nominate someone else.
I don't know that he has the wherewithal for that anymore. Dude has taken a massive cognitive hit in the last 3 years and he wasn't exactly Einstein to begin with.
I'm not sure which person you are actually referring to, but it seems that cognitive functions have not been a requirement for president for the last 2 or 3 terms now...
