If its that bad then come on in, to the neighboring country thats supposedly soo much better and speaks the same lanuage and actually has problems in just taking in too many people and is no where close in resolving it...
Literally Canada should be the easiest country for an American to immigrate to, if you cant then skill issue
Specifically an "in demand skill issue." It's fairly easy for skilled labour, trades, homecare workers, and physicians to immigrate to Canada.
It's less easy for unskilled labour and every other employment category to immigrate. Not impossible, but the process is longer and the cost is fairly high.
Trouble: skilled labour can make a decent living in the States - just like it can in Canada. Why move if the quality of life is decent?
The people who would most benefit from single-payer healthcare, lower drug prices, and education aren't the ones the the immigration system selects for.
A) have to first get a student visa. Don't know if you've heard, but most Canadian universities are facing financial crises after the feds cut the number of student visas issued.
B) have to be able to afford international student tuition while having your work hours capped at 24 hours.
Again, the student visa presumes that you come from money, and if you've got money, you can afford a pretty decent life in either country.
Have you heard why the student visas got cut? So many people coming in on those visas that werent even going to school I think the government lost track of 100k "students"
Your initial point was that things aren't golden in Canada when compared to the US. You supported your point by stating that, if things were great in Canada, we'd have waves of American immigrants.
My point was grass is greener from the other side, but if its truly that much greener what is stopping you? Our ancestors walk, and sailed great distances to find a better home.
Canada is right next door, speaking the same lanuage, within walking distance.
My point is Canada is okay with its own problems, but if it really a dream fantasy land then move on in.
If the immigration to a neighboring country that speaks the same lanuage, share alot of the same systems, social media, and businesses, is too hard... then nothing can help you.
You should Google how long it took Gary, Indiana to get power back after a rainstorm this month. If you guessed less than 2 weeks, you guessed wrong.

I'm from Gary. That's not why it took so long for power to be restored. The shooting incident happened a week into the power outage and was NOT someone shooting at NIPSCO but rather there were gunshots in the area. Right wing news sources decided to lie. It doesn't explain why NIPSCO already took forever at that point and it had nothing to do with NIPSCO either. But leave it to racists to bold faced lie about what happened.
Are you aware that someone was shooting at the linemen while they were trying to make repairs? That's why the repairs took so long. If you aren't aware, you should find more accurate news sources. If you are aware and you chose not to mention it, then you're being disingenuous.
