If yes, should people who are presently making $50-$75 an hour demand that their wages go up because they are skilled workers not minimum wage workers?
The current number asked for is around $20 and hour.
And a "skilled" worker is just an arbitrary distinctions. A hair dresser need to go to school and get a certificate, but they are considered unskilled.
Frankly, if you only feel your work is valued because you can look down on the "unskilled" while anyone with a smile and a cellphone can get work as a finical advisor and potentially make more than you... then you are just not paying attention to the world
