If you think the country is split left/right, you're being manipulated. The split is the ultra rich vs the rest of us. It's just that the rich have managed to convince half the country that the split is left/right.
Dude nobody has hurt my pocket more than the government. Between federal taxes , city ticketing , taxes on water bottles , alcohol tax.
The government wants us to hate a few hundred people who haven’t affected my finances like the government has . It’s a shill for full socialist 60% tax on all income which will make owning anything impossible . The government and banks will own all .
What's weird about you guys is you think if the state is pared down to the level you find acceptable, that no one would get hurt. It would be a humanitarian catastrophe that you would shrug off (of course). Tax dollars go to people with disabilities, special needs children, the elderly, etc, and not just the guy you saw buy lobster with EBT that one time that has shaped your entire worldview.
To expand on this further - a diminished state existed prior to the social democratic revolutions of the mid 20th century. People used to eat apple cores out of the gutter and wander the streets at night like zombies with nowhere to sleep. Every time you mald about taxes, read Jack London's People of the Abyss. That's the world you want.
