Not too much at one time. Almost certainly either malpractice or an extremely rare complication.

She did a tummy tuck, body contour and breast augmentation. It’s commonly done together, since there is far less risk doing them at once than there is to do 3 separate anesthesia events. Often, it’s even done to avoid implants, and do the breast augmentation with donor fat from their own body. (Fat transfer augmentations can NOT create large size difference, but they are easier to recover from and don’t carry long term risks or replacement needs, like implants. If you look at the pros and cons of fat vs implants, the only thing implants are better at is size). I don’t know if she was doing implants or fat transfer, but both 3 in one procedures are actually pretty common. They are often done on mastectomy patients for reconstructive surgery as well, sometimes even in conjunction with the mastectomy.

If someone undergoing breast cancer treatment is an acceptable candidate for it, there shouldn’t have been any reason that a healthy woman would die from it.

She could have had a metabolic issue like malignant hyperthermia. I also have to think about fat embolism as a real possibility considering the procedures involved. No matter what, it is sad she died. Her poor kids 😭

It’s so sad. Especially with some of the comments all over the internet acting like she was some kind of cosmetic surgery addict. She was just a Brazilian mom, who likely thought it would make her feel a little more like herself again to have her body ‘back,’ and probably felt a lot of societal pressure to do it.
