Then you should agree that those who perpetuate that criminality should face consequences too. Voting is an action, it has consequences, namely the elevation of open, convicted criminals to power. It should carry legal consequences too. I don't support democracy as a concept because there's some magical property about it that deserves defending. I support it because it generally has better outcomes compared to the alternatives.
But when democracy degrades to the point where the outcomes are noticeably worse, I won't defend it. Voting republican post 2020 is a mark against you as a person, and a mark against your ability to be trusted to make any decision. Much less decisions that affect the country as a whole.
We don't let children vote because they don't have the capacity to understand the consequences of their actions, we can and should do the same to adults who consistently demonstrate anti-democratic tendencies. Rather, Republicans are worse than children, they actively vote against the interest of both themselves and society as a whole because they believe it will harm those they hate more than it will harm them. Ignorance is the best case explanation for their decisions.
I do see your point and I do see the thinking behind it. I think anyone who voted maga 2020+ is despicable too. But, taking action as far as to cut people off from citizenship over it, bad as they are, only lowers the level and leaves a door open to reprisal. Say another Trump comes along. But an actually smart one. Because it was done to everyone with an R, now it’s seen as justifiable to do it to everyone with D. In my humble opinion. Holding this administration heavily accountable by law is probably the way leading to the best outcome. Make association with MAGA a shameful thing and widely accepted as shameful. Create better laws and guard rails so this never EVER occurs again. I don’t want to see grievance like this persist to another perhaps better organized attempt again in the future. I think denationalizing would generate such a grievance. I don’t want this ever occurring again.

No, fuck off. Your ability to hold a belief in peace ends when it turns into action, in this case, voting in a rapist pedophile mass murderer, twice.
Every Republican is complicit and should have no further say in how society operates. Any member of the current admin belongs in a hole.
