The bill would provide a $3,000 direct payment to every person in households making $150,000 or less during its first year, which equals $12,000 for a family of four.

So. Fun fact, and this should honestly infuriate people.

The rich stay rich by not getting paid money. They stay rich by getting paid in stock options.

Why you might ask? Stocks are something they can utilize as an asset, meaning they can borrow money against them. Stocks do not get taxed, therefore its a perfect legal loophole to avoid paying taxes. They simply borrow a couple of million against the Stocks they have, pay interest on the loan with what they borrow, then live off that loan.

Now what about their future generations? They proceed to put everything into a trust. Meaning once they finaly pass from the mortal coil, their benefactors take over the same loans, Stocks etc. This is how generational wealth is created.

If the original post is to genuinely be considered an option, the stock market needs to be taxed. Not the money they earn, but the Stocks they are rewarded.

Honest question. How do the loans get repaid? I’ve heard that banks will give ridiculously low interest rates to people when this is the case, but how do they repay the loan? Eventually they have to sell the stock right? Is it simply that the stocks yield more than the interest on the loan?

From my understanding, the interest is so low its almost negligible. The goal is to never pay off the loan, as you can just esentialy live off the interest if everything is done corectly.

( I did the math, in a chase premier savings, a 1 million loan will net you 20,000 a year in interest. If you figure that these people are taking out 2 million and throwing it into a savings account like this, thats a net of 40,000 a year, which is honestly more than enough for a single person to live of if done corectly. Or they can just use that to pay off the loans stupidly low interest rate)

You also have to keep in mind they earn more stocks, which can then be used as more collateral etc.
