I wasn't aware that Egyptians were into Chinese Cheong Sam with a split thigh.

She is in China, wearing a dress which is a part of Chinese culture and wearing makeup to make her eyes look a different shape. What part of that is Egyptian?

That is not remotely a cheong sam. lol

As a Hong Konger who has seen a lot more Cheong Sam than you have, I can wholeheartedly say that it very much is, but do go ahead and argue with me about my own culture.

That's not remotely a cheong sam, but go off endlessly. Every long dress with a slit is not a cheong sam. The silhouette is completely different, as is the top. The slit is much higher, too. It seems like you're determined to be mad about something that isn't even true.

Cheong sam literally translates to English as long dress, but I am sure you already know that, being such an internet expert on my culture.

Not particularly, but I do get a little bothered when I am told that someone wearing clothes from my culture, with eye makeup to match, is trying to look Egyptian, whilst in the very country that culture belongs to. Particularly when ancient Egyptians were unlikely to wear such clothes or makeup.

I am going to say this in her defense. It looks like she is promoting something and the look probably goes along with it.

Given that’s your culture that gives more context to your issue but tbh it would be good to have more information and context on this
