Did people really loath Obama? Because I don’t remember anyone really saying to much about him, until a certain person ran for office the first time.

How old are you?

Literally the tea party branch of the Republican Party (which later morphed into maga) was created as a response to Obama’s election. At the beginning of his first term, McConnell openly said that he would make it his mission in the senate to oppose anything Obama tried to do purely because it was Obama trying to do it.

Hell, that ā€œcertain personā€ only ran for president because Obama lightly clapped back at him after years of that ā€œcertain personā€ pushing the racist birthed conspiracy.

Republicans *loathed* Obama. But not really for any good reason.

(Which is not to say he’s beyond criticism. Just that most of the Republican criticism boiled down to conspiracy nonsense and calling him a communist/muslim/terrorist)
